Cliff McElroy is a co-owner of the Seattle Sounders Women as well as the Sounders FC U-23. He is also the President and co-owner of Datec Inc., a well-regarded and locally-owned enterprise infrastructure provider, systems integrator, and IT professional services company. He’s known as a mentor and cultivator of talent in the Seattle IT world.
Cliff is active in the PNW community and a proud resident of the Columbia City neighborhood. Originally from Kentucky, he’s a classically avid basketball fan for his alma mater, University of Kentucky. When he and his wife aren’t attending their daughter’s soccer games, he can be found playing a pick-up basketball game, or in the Datec Inc. suite for the Seattle Sounders of MLS hosting his customers and friends.
Lane Smith: Owner & CEO
As a Tacoma native, Lane is a leader in his community. CEO and Co-Owner of the Sounders Women and Sounders FC U-23. Lane is also the Chief Financial Officer and Co-owner of Datec Inc., a well-regarded and locally owned enterprise infrastructure provider, systems integrator, and IT professional services company. Leveraging his industry tenure as a sales executive for Hewlett Packard, he formed a partnership with Cliff McElroy to create a Value Added Reseller that is focused on trusted expertise, close partnerships, and efficiencies.
As the lease holder of the Tacoma Soccer Center, he oversaw its recent transition of the soccer operations into a non-profit entity. Lane sees a great opportunity for the collaboration between the youth and adult players at the Tacoma Soccer Center, the Sounders Women, and Sounders U-23. He is a life-long recreational soccer player and on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound. Lane can often be found with his family and friends somewhere near a soccer field or in the Datec Inc.’s suite at a Seattle Sounders of MLS match.

Darren Sawatzky assumes the VP/GM manager role for the Sounders Women after serving in the same capacity for the Sounders U23 team the past 3 years.

Rebekah joins the Sounders Women to oversee the team and game day operations. She will also be responsible for in game marketing and promotions.
She is originally from Texas and graduated from The University of Texas. After graduating she moved to the Seattle area to attend the University of Washington and earn a Master's in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership.
Rebekah is very involved in athletics in the area having worked for the University of Washington, the NWAACC and various NCAA and PAC 12 Conference events. Currently Rebekah works for Shoreline Community College as the Event, Facilities and Equipment Coordinator and for the Seattle Storm as a Marketing and Promotions Assistant.
Teddy Mitalas: Director of Community Relations
Teddy is a staple of the Puget Sound soccer community. Including a professional playing career in Greece and the United States, Teddy has been around the game for as long as he can remember. He now coaches the game on the high school and premier club level while also directing soccer operations at Starfire Sports.
Teddy has received many accolades over the years including being inducted into the WSSA Hall of Fame in 2008, WSYSA President’s Award in 2009, and in 2010 was awarded the Golden Scarf Award by the Sounders FC organization.
Teddy brings years of experience as GM and Head Coach of the Sounders Women back to the club in his new role as Director of Community Relations. He will over-see the club’s involvement in the community with various non-profits, clubs, schools, and more.
Lance Larson: Director of Security
Lance Larson is a Federal Way native who has over 26 years of combined experience in Law Enforcement, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Response and Safety & Security Management.
Lance manages all Safety and Security details for the Sounders FC U23 and the Sounders Women; providing safety and security for the staff, participants, officials and spectators.
Among his previous positions within soccer industry Lance served as a Vice President of Competition, Board member, Coach and Consultant.
Jane Gershovich: Photographer
Jane is a northwest native from Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Western Washington University in 2009 (Yea Bham!) and has focused on her photography since. She is a professional sports photographer who primarily shoots the Seattle Sounders and Seahawks. She also specializes in travel, weddings, sports, portraits and event photography.
Jane began getting serious about photography her senior year of high school, realizing her passion for the arts could translate into her photography. Since then she has committed herself to expanding her photography knowledge and has fallen in love with the process of capturing life’s inspirations.
